NOVELETA, CAVITE — A 14,640-square-meter property in Barangay Sta. Rosa I, Noveleta has been officially designated for inclusion in the existing Cavite Economic Zone II, following a proclamation issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Under Proclamation No. 1460, the additional property will be covered by the framework governing special economic zones under Republic Act No. 7916, as amended by Republic Act No. 8748.
The designation was made upon the recommendation of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Board of Directors, which oversees the development and operation of economic zones in the country.
The expansion provides additional land within the economic zone that may accommodate activities covered by the PEZA program, including investments and export-oriented businesses.
Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto signed the proclamation on September 28, 2026, under the authority of President Marcos.
