Philippine Spring Water Resources Inc. (PSWRI), the maker of Nature’s Spring, assured the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) that it has enough bottled-water supply of clean and safe drinking water nationwide, with no price increases planned as the country prepares for El Niño.

The assurance was given during DTI Secretary Cristina A. Roque’s visit to the company’s Bulacan plant on October 8 to review its production capacity, reserve stocks and delivery arrangements.
“PSWRI has assured us that they can guarantee sufficient supply nationwide without price increases because they handle their own manufacturing, logistics, and distribution across 200 locations nationwide—allowing them to quickly move supply across the country and prevent shortages. Our message to consumers is clear: there is no need to panic buy or hoard—buy only what your household needs because there is enough supply,” Secretary Roque emphasized.
While the inspection focused on PSWRI, Secretary Roque added that PSWRI is just one of the bottled water companies working with DTI, and other manufacturers across the sector have likewise assured the public that overall market supply remains sufficient.
With a nationwide network of manufacturing plants across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, PSWRI operates with sufficient production headway and continuous reserve inventory to scale supply and meet increased demand during peak El Niño conditions.
To prepare for higher seasonal demand, the company is extending production hours, maintaining reserve stocks across retail partners, and utilizing its 18-month product shelf life to build reserves ahead of the dry period.
The briefing also covered suggested retail price (SRP) monitoring, multi-stage purification, quality testing, and water extraction monitoring. The DTI continues to coordinate with manufacturers to keep supply lines moving and protect consumers throughout El Niño. END
