MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will not hesitate to remove government officials found to be covering up irregularities in infrastructure projects, Malacañang said Monday, stressing the administration’s commitment to holding those responsible accountable.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Marcos maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward illegal activities that cause harm to the government, warning that officials who conceal wrongdoing or protect individuals involved could face dismissal.

The statement came after Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon clarified that investigations into alleged irregularities in infrastructure projects in Taguig City remain ongoing and are subject to further validation.

Castro emphasized that the President would take action against officials found to be shielding individuals involved in misconduct, including friends and political allies, as part of efforts to ensure accountability in government infrastructure projects. #
