MANILA, Philippines — The PAGASA said the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, is expected to bring intermittent to at times heavy rains over parts of Luzon on Friday.
According to weather specialist Obet Badrina, areas such as Bataan and Zambales may experience heavier rainfall, while Metro Manila, Southern Luzon, and the rest of Central Luzon will have occasional rains.
Other parts of Luzon and the western Visayas are also likely to see cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, while Central and Eastern Visayas may experience generally fair weather with chances of isolated rains.
The habagat continues to affect large portions of Luzon, bringing periods of heavy rainfall and raising the risk of flooding in vulnerable areas. #
