SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — More than 1,400 employees of Mekeni Food Corporation gathered for a grand thanksgiving celebration as the company marked its 40th anniversary, honoring the people behind its decades of success.
The event, held at the Laus Group Event Centre in San Fernando, carried the theme “Pasasalamat: Apat na Dekadang Kwento sa Bawat Timpla” (Thanksgiving: Four Decades of Stories in Every Flavor). It was an evening filled with entertainment, recognition, and gratitude, highlighting the vital role of Mekeni’s workforce in the company’s growth.
Honoring Employees’ Dedication
Mekeni President Pruds Garcia emphasized that the company’s achievements are rooted in the collective efforts of its employees.
“Every Mekeni product carries the story of the people behind it. This celebration is our way of thanking the employees who helped build and grow the company,” Garcia said.
One of the highlights of the program was the Service Awards, which honored long-serving employees who have made significant contributions throughout the years.
New Vision, Mission, and Values
During the celebration, Mekeni unveiled its new Vision, Mission, and Values, which will guide the company’s next phase of organizational growth.
Assistant Vice President for Marketing Kat Gomez-Schultz underscored the importance of staying true to the principles that have sustained Mekeni for four decades.
Special Rewards and Recognition
As an additional gesture of appreciation, employees who achieved challenging targets during Fiscal Year 2025 were rewarded with an Asian cruise trip. From March 3 to 9, 2026, awardees visited Ishigaki, Japan and Keelung, Taiwan in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
Assistant Vice President for Human Resources and Exports Marilou Uy said these programs demonstrate Mekeni’s commitment to valuing the dedication and talent of its workforce.

As Mekeni celebrates its 40th year in the industry, the company reaffirmed that its success is built not only on quality products but, more importantly, on the people who work tirelessly behind every flavor.
