Wholesale brand Makro is set to return to the Philippines with the development of four new stores in mixed-use estates of Ayala Land Inc. (ALI).
The planned locations include Cloverleaf in Quezon City, Broadfield in Biñan, Laguna, Arca South in Taguig City, and Evo City in Kawit, Cavite, aiming to bring services closer to communities and small businesses across Luzon.
Under the agreement, ALI will retain ownership of the land, while Makro will develop and operate the stores.
Makro Philippines is a joint venture between Ayala Corporation and CP Axtra Public Co. Ltd., offering a wide range of products including fresh and dry food, imported goods, and non-food essentials through an omni-channel platform.
ALI said the project is expected to provide greater product selection and a more convenient large-format shopping experience for growing communities in Metro Manila and Southern Luzon.
