Boac, Marinduque – The Marinduque State University (MarSU) Litera Club is vying for re-accreditation as a bona-fide student organization, since 2013 it started in the School of Arts and Sciences and re-organized by 2023 as MSC Litera Club and MarSU Litera Club by 2025.The main goals of the said MarSU organization is to provide a platform for creativity by conducting workshops, fora, literary events likewise to publish or showcase original works by print or online means, also to support national, regional and local literature by collaborating with other organization literacy, culture and heritage.
Based on its foundational documents, the Litera Club believes that literature is a both an art and a medium for truth, empathy and transformation through literary forms such as prose, poetry and experimental expressions, it provides an enabling environment to build a robust ecosystem for creatives by encouraging innovation, individual and critical through that can inspire and connect.
Moreover, Litera Club’s vision is to become a leading community of creative thinkers and storytellers in the university dedicated to preserving, celebrating and innovation literature in the country and beyond while inspiring future generations to find their voice through the written and spoken word. Likewise, their mission is stay committed in nurturing a culture of reading, writing and artistic expression among students. In addition, Litera Club also provides platform for showcasing creative works and fosters collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. It also strives to build a supportive and safe space to use literature as a tool for awareness, connection and meaningful change.
With a new literature, MarSU Litera Club carry on the previous reiteration of SAS and MSC Litera Club with a new set of officers: Angelika Fampula (president), Daryl Justine Panganiban (vice president), Hanna Lei Saludo (Secretary), Rheavel Manjares (treasurer), Desiree Ann Cabato (auditor) Danica Mae Revilloza and Astana Cenea Maming (project managers) with Vanessa Pelobello with Rhia Empuesto (public information officers).
Some of the programs/services for the academic year 2026-27 are the following: welfare of the general membership including mental health and wellness, capacity building/ enhancement activities, environmental/ ecological concerns, social/ cultural concerns with volunteering with outreach, resource-generation and some tangible projects like merchandise, promotional materials, folio and publications.
