Alfonso, Cavite – The Trainers and Advocates Association of the Philippines (TAAP) conducted its strategic planning for 2027-29 last Sunday, (September 20) at Rancho Aguinaldo with the theme Stronger Together: Planning Today, Leading Tomorrow.
The said activity started with a invocation and national anthem with welcome remarks from the TAAP vice president Dr. Robert Samaniego. Then the TAAP treasurer Dr. Rodeliza Flores provided the backbone for the strategic planning. She provided the strat plan elements: vision,
mission statement, objectives, goals, results achievements and approach, strategies. Dr. Flores also imparted the strat planning as iterative process: from assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation to revision.
Meanwhile, both onsite and online TAAP officers and members took turns with their respective inputs. From the original members during the inception of the said organization in 2023 to its development and expansion in coming years. The TAAP secretary Eiffeline Howard skillfully moderated the input from the participants. With the technical support of Sir Mark Portabes and Dr. Kate Morante.
The most salient part of the strat plan is the critical next steps for TAAP committees: membership growth, retention; research, publication; linkages, partnerships, internationalization; training, advcocacies; secretariat, documentation; IT tech, comm; events, outreach; electoral, legal concerns; community extension and the regions, The event closed with some remarks from the founding chair Dr. Lurhen Cortez who joined online and the incumbent president Dr. Mary Ann Dumlao who just won the reservist of the year.
TAAP was formally set up in 2023 and by far has 170 bona fide members all over the country. The TAAP vision endevours to bring development, unity, sustainability, workforce. While its
mission is summarized with accessible, equal opportunity, skilled Filipino workers, healthy connection. Its objectives can be best thought to inspire, to provide, to assist and to be the leader.
