CAVITE, Philippines — The NHCP Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite was recognized for recording the Highest Same-Day Visitor Arrivals for the 1st Tourism Nodal Point during the 8th Cavite Tourism Excellence Awards held on September 23, 2026, at the New Cavite Government Center.
The award was presented by the Provincial Government of Cavite in recognition of the shrine’s continuing contribution to tourism, cultural preservation, and heritage conservation in the province.
The shrine’s management welcomed the recognition, emphasizing its continuing role in preserving and promoting Cavite’s history and cultural heritage.
Located in Kawit, the Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine is the ancestral home and birthplace of Emilio Aguinaldo, a prominent figure in Philippine history. The site is also historically significant as the place where Philippine independence was proclaimed on June 12, 1898.
The newly built Cavite Government Center also incorporates architectural elements inspired by the Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine, reflecting the site’s historical importance to Cavite and the Philippines.
The NHCP Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine expressed its appreciation to the Provincial Government of Cavite, particularly the Provincial Tourism Office, for the recognition and continued partnership in promoting heritage tourism, history, and culture in the province.
