Rosario, Cavite — From a peaceful and thriving town emerges the name of Police Staff Sergeant Rogie J. Laura, 40, who was recognized as the National Level Best Junior PNCO for Administration by the Philippine National Police (PNP)—an honor that reflects not only individual achievement but also the pride of the community he serves.

A resident of Barangay Tejeros Convention, Rosario, Cavite, PSSg Laura is the eldest son of retired Police Inspector Romeo C. Laura, whose example and guidance inspired him to pursue a life of public service. Over his 14 years in the PNP, Laura has consistently demonstrated discipline, diligence, and integrity as the foundation of his success.

His journey to recognition began at the provincial level, where his dedication in administration first earned him distinction. He then advanced to the regional level, and ultimately triumphed at the national level—a rigorous process reserved for the truly exceptional in service.

The awarding ceremony was held at Camp Crame, the headquarters of the PNP, turning what was once a dream into reality for a humble policeman from Rosario. Currently assigned to the Regional Information and Communication Technology Management Division (RICTMD), Laura has showcased excellence not only in traditional police duties but also in modern systems of management and technology.

For his outstanding contributions, he was also conferred the PNP Outstanding Achievement Award, receiving the Medalya ng Katangi-tanging Gawa and a ₱30,000 cash incentive. Records show that he is the only Caviteño to receive this award in his category this year, further solidifying his reputation within the police force.

Before his current assignment, Laura served at the Rosario Municipal Police Station, where his community first witnessed his quiet yet effective leadership. His efforts were felt through improved systems, faster service, and discipline among his colleagues.

In his message, PSSg Laura humbly dedicated the honor to God, his family, and the institution he serves:

“Above all, I thank God for the guidance, strength, and wisdom that made this achievement possible. I am deeply grateful to my parents and family for their constant prayers, sacrifices, and support. I also extend my sincere appreciation to the Philippine National Police, our leadership, and my fellow personnel.”

He added:

“This recognition as National Level Best Junior PNCO for Administration is not mine alone—it reflects our shared commitment to professional service. To the community we serve, this award strengthens my resolve to serve with integrity, accountability, and dedication. Together, we build trust and safer communities.”

The story of PSSg Rogie J. Laura proves that humble beginnings are no barrier to achieving the highest recognition. Through hard work, faith, and honest service, an ordinary policeman can become a national role model.

For young people aspiring to wear the uniform, and for public servants who may feel discouraged, his success is a clear reminder that true honor comes from sincere service. #END
