SANTA CRUZ, LAGUNA — The DENR-CENRO Sta. Cruz donated 3.7 cubic meters of wood to the Local Government Unit of Pila, Laguna, for use in producing office furniture and equipment.
A Deed of Donation was formally signed on September 2, 2026, by OIC-CENRO Grace V. Malabanan and Pila Mayor Queen Marilyd S. Alarva, with representatives from the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office and DENR Enforcement and Monitoring Section also in attendance.
The wood came from an approved Tree Cutting Permit and will be used to make tables, chairs and other equipment to support the LGU’s public service operations.
The donation was carried out in accordance with existing DENR rules on the proper disposition of logs, ensuring that the wood is put to appropriate use for the benefit of the community. #
