TAGUIG CITY — Family, friends, and colleagues gathered on Thursday to bid a solemn farewell to Police Senior Master Sergeant Diane Marie Mollenido and her eight-year-old son, John Ysmael Mollenido, during their burial at Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City.
A funeral Mass was earlier held at St. Joseph Parish inside Camp Bagong Diwa, where members of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and fellow officers paid tribute to Mollenido’s years of dedicated service in the police force. A final salute was rendered in her honor, symbolizing the respect and admiration of her peers and the community she served.
The mother and son were reported missing on January 19. Diane’s body was later discovered in Pulilan, Bulacan, while John Ysmael’s remains were found in Victoria, Tarlac.
Authorities said the deaths were allegedly linked to a dispute over a car sale. Several suspects have already been arrested in connection with the case.
The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement authorities continue to pursue justice and closure for the grieving family. ##
